Been meaning to post this up for sometime.. first appearing in DJ mag back in the early nineties.. Geoff Oakes gives us a very early insight in to the concept that was Renaissance. I had the pleasure of visiting Mansfield to experience 'The club that we would all want to go to' and I'll be honest...arguably the best club night I've ever attended..
Memories of a laser and the sound of helicopter blades.. De Niro was landing.. Sasha was taking control..
The first advert featured in either DJ or Mixmag.. memory is hazy.. 'The Restoration of Sasha to the North of England'.. He'd left Shelley's, plenty of guest appearances including some belter's at 'The Eclipse' in Coventry.. but a new residency.. Things were about to get interesting.
